Precision Straightening

Our precision straightening capabilities at Industrial Grinders & Machining can be used to straighten bar stock and tubing to tolerances as tight as 0.001" TIR per foot. We process carbon steel, titanium, nickel alloys, and precious metals for a wide variety of customers including the automotive, medical, and power generation industries. Most straightening services are related to shafting applications, meaning most materials we straighten have an outer diameter between 0.25" and 1.5". However, bar or tubing up to 6" can be straightened in the press as needed.

Saw cutting, centerless grinding, and polishing can be used in conjunction with the straightening process to prepare materials for precision applications. We are ISO 9001:2008 certified and can meet the most stringent quality standards including ASME Section III Rules for Construction of Nuclear Facility Components. Material traceability is maintained at all times and certificates of conformance can be provided on request. We are adept at efficiently processing low and high production volumes and provide an average lead time of 2 to 3 weeks. For additional information about our precision straightening capability, see the table below, or contact us directly.
